Start with source quality.
The assisted structure pilot is restricted to readable, text-based, single-column reports or brochures up to 20 MB and 20 pages. Solo supports source-bound reviewed tagging and validated candidate downloads. An account and current paid subscription are required.
Signed/encrypted documents, interactive forms/XFA, image-only files, multi-column layouts, formulas and complex tables are excluded. Uncertain mapping blocks repair. Rotated and cropped pages currently require source-file correction. Simple table recognition is evaluation-only.
Use the authoring source to correct reading order and headings when the PDF is outside this scope. OCR, regeneration, translation, redaction and text rewriting are outside v1.
Review every heading, paragraph, figure description, list and reading-order decision. A machine pass is not certification. Failed or uncertain candidates remain unavailable; keep the original source.
